Cookie Policy

The short version

This site sets no tracking cookies. Visitor numbers are counted by Plausible, which is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device and reads nothing from it, so there is nothing there to consent to. Anything that would store something on your device stays behind the banner, and the consent manager is fail-closed, meaning the absence of a decision is treated as a refusal.

Categories

• Strictly necessary: a single local storage entry recording your consent choice so the banner does not reappear on every page. Always on; it is what makes the rest of this policy enforceable.
• Analytics: no cookie, and nothing stored on your device. Plausible counts page views in aggregate, so I can see which cities people actually read about. It records no cross-site identifier, builds no profile, and never collects data that could identify you. Because it stores nothing, it runs for everyone rather than sitting behind the banner.
• Affiliate: off by default. When enabled, affiliate attribution may set cookies. These are set by the partner, not by this site, and only after you click through to them.

Changing your mind

Clear this site's cookies and local storage in your browser settings and the consent banner returns on the next page load, letting you make a different choice.
