Notes

It started with a one-month Airbnb on Narva Mantee, Tallinn, in May 2022. This is where the longer writing goes — the origin story, the timeline, and why I do it this way. Written when there is something to say, not on a schedule.

Chandler in a European city
“I met people everywhere I went and fell in love with the European style, the laidback but functional lifestyle, and being in historic places.”

Everything on this site comes from having been there. The cities are ones I've walked, the stays are nights I paid for, the things on the Things pages are in my bag right now. There is no research layer and no second-hand recommendation.

Which means it fills up slowly, and some pages are empty. Empty is the honest state for something I haven't written yet — it isn't a gap to be filled with an approximation.

The Timeline

How it actually went.

No overnight success story. A month in Tallinn, then Iceland, then a four-month run across Europe, then two more trips. Each one changed what the next one looked like.

  1. May 2022

Booked a one-month Airbnb on Narva Mantee, Tallinn. First solo trip.

  2. May 2022

Met strangers at the Butterfly Lounge. Ended up at an apartment party at 7am. Walked home at 8am. Realised this was the life.

  3. September 2022

Reykjavik, Iceland. Hi Loft Hostel, south coast day trips, and a nightlife scene that proved the people are as wild as the landscape.

  4. 2023

A four-month, 21-city run across Europe — London, Prague, Budapest, Belgrade, Sofia, Crete, the Greek islands, the Baltics, Finland, and up through Sweden to Stockholm. The trip that turned travel from a passion into a practice.

  5. 2024

Lisbon, Lagos, and Sevilla with a friend. The first trip with company — and proof that the right travel partner changes everything.

  6. 2025

Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Jönköping, Stockholm. A return to Scandinavia — the region that started the style obsession.
