Chania

Chania is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down. The Venetian harbour at sunset is one of the best views I've seen anywhere in Europe. The old town is full of narrow streets, good tavernas, and a relaxed pace that feels earned. Crete in general has a different energy from the smaller Greek islands — more substantial, more local.
