Jönköping
Jönköping sits at the southern tip of Lake Vättern — Sweden's second largest lake — and the setting is genuinely beautiful. It's a mid-sized Swedish city with a strong local identity and a lakeside quality of life that's hard to find in bigger cities. Less visited than Gothenburg or Stockholm, which is part of the appeal. A good reminder that the best parts of Scandinavia aren't always the capitals.
