2023 — The four-month run
Oulu
Oulu is far enough north that you start to feel the shift in light and pace. It's a university city with a younger energy than you might expect this far up. The market square by the river is the social centre of the city. A good stop on the way toward the Arctic — the kind of place that makes you understand why Finns are so attached to their country.
